After a couple of blank stares and an unrecognisable mumble, we all acknowledge that
none of us has got a clue.
We’re smart. We’re up to date with fashion. We know how to cook, entertain and close
a deal (often on the same day). But we’re somehow lacking in our knowledge of what
a GSM really is, and if it goes best with the midweek chicken, beef or tofu!
So we set out for answers and to demystify the art of food and wine matching.
We knew that matching the right wines to our recipes would require a great deal of
research. We were keen and certainly up for it. Especially if it included travelling to the
South of France and cycling across paddocks of lavender…. turns out it didn’t.
So instead, we did what we do best; we sipped samples, took notes, researched,
conjured ideas and talked to the people around us.
Now matching food and wine is no longer only the domain of those in the know. Nor is
it left on the shelf for the occasional posh dinner party. So join us, embrace it and
welcome it to your everyday life.
